Blendhub advances in improving the quality and safety of its products

Premium Ingredients achieved OHSAS 18001 certification for its Safety and Health Management System at work

Premium Ingredients S.L., company which united Blendhub, S.L.U, forming Blendhub, has obtained the international certification of its Safety and Health Management System, in accordance with OHSAS 18001. The integrated management of the areas of Quality, Environment and Security (both food and at workplace) introduces an improvement in company’s productivity and provides security and quality in facilities and food products.

The OHSAS 18001 standard is the most recognized certification in existence in safety at work and is in force since 2007. The internal prevention policy developed and launched by Premium Ingredients S. L., working closely with its employees, through a Committee on Safety and Health at Work, has allowed it to get the certification in just one year.

Blendhub considers the training and involvement of its employees in the prevention of occupational risks and health essential to promote a culture of safety at work, as acknowledged by Elena Torres, People Responsible of  Blendhub. Meanwhile, Mara Martinez, Safety and Health at Work Coordinator, adds that “Working with less effort in prevention, means fewer errors and redound in improving the quality of end product”.

The food industry is particularly sensitive to issues of safety and quality. Premium Ingredients S. L. adds this certification to the three it already had: ISO 9001, certifying the Quality Management System; ISO 14001, which certifies the Environmental Management System, and ISO 22000, which certifies the Food Safety Management System.
