Students of the Computer Science Faculty visit the PPB

Students of the University of Murcia visit Blendhub and the first modular and Portable Powder Blending factory in the world.

A group of 11 pupils, students of Computer Science Faculty at the University of Murcia, together with the Professor Joaquín Cervera López, visit Blendhub group of companies as a real and practical example of the theory learnt at the university.

During the visit, they learnt how the modular and Portable Powder Blending (PPB) factory, worldwide patented, works.

Mara Martínez, Engineer Manager, and Ramón de los Santos, Automation Engineer, welcomed and assisted to the group of students during the first part of the visit to know the PPB’s hardware and process. The group had the opportunity to see a real industrial production process focused on the PPB, its technical description, and the technical requirements needed to set up an industrial equipment like this.

During the second part of the visit, which was aimed at knowing more deeply the PPB software, Ramón de los Santos showed them the system used to track and document the transformation of raw materials into finished goods, the MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) and another system for providing the remote control of equipment, SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition). In addition, he explained them the computer technical requirements of the PPB and the software infrastructure needed to operate the plant meeting the highest standards of food safety.

Blendhub, we are open, we are anywhere.
